One of the most successful coaches in Russia Oleg Znarok was appointed as head coach of Spartak Moscow team. Sides signed a 1-year deal with an option to extend it for one more year. Harijs Vitolins, Igor Ulanov and Maxim Solovyov will join in him in coaching staff.

Znarok won three Gagarin Cups in KHL with Dynamo Moscow and SKA St. Petersburg; he also led Russian National team to gold medals of World Championship in 2014 and gold medals of 2018 Olympic Games.

“There is no need to explain who Oleg Znarok is. He is very professional coach who made his name both in Russian hockey and in international stage. Our vision on hockey matched that’s why it was quite easy to come to an agreement. We will do our best to make fans happy next season” Spartak general manager Alexei Zhamnov told.
