For the third straight home game our coaches made a big number of changes – Damir Musin, Andrei Kuteikin, Maxim Goncharov, Fyodor Malykhin, Mikhail Kotlyarevsky and Denis Kokarev returned to the lineup.

Our team started the game pretty bad allowing two goals in first eight minutes. On 10th minute Kaspars Daugavins scored beauty goal from perfect position. In the second period teams exchanged with goal, Lockhart and Daugavins scored their second of the night. The period ended with game misconduct penalty for our forward Ilya Arkalov for spearing.

5-minutes of penalty killing is a good way to… tie the game! Fyodor Malykhin in his fourth appearance in Red-White jerseys scored again. Earlier he scored in even strength, PP and now PK. Unfortunately, visitors used that Arkalov’s penalty to restore their lead. However, on 49th minute Anatoly Nikontsev set a sweet pass to Andrei Kuteikin who joined the rush and tied the game. With 5 minutes left to play Artyom Fyodorov made it 5-4! In the end Julius Hudacek tried to send a puck into empty net, accidentally he hit Daugavins who continued its way to his first KHL hat-trick.

Spartak will continue home series on Saturday against Dynamo Moscow.
