Bad start of playoffs
Red-Whites suffered a loss in first game of 2020 Gagarin Cup.

The most intriguing and nervous pair of playoffs started at home ice of Dynamo. Till the last game of regular season, the question was opened about with whom Spartak will start playoffs however Dynamo chose us. Unfortunately, this season we lost four straight games to Dynamo.

Everything started so quick. On 3rd minute Damir Musin lost his stick that led to Dmitrij Jaskin’s snipe. Later Semyon Pankratov scored the second Dynamo goal that was cancelled after video review on goalie interference. Spartak played hard and maybe even better in physical aspect of the game.

But Dynamo was more effective in enemy waters. Swede Petersson scored twice in the second period sending Julius Hudacek to the bench for prepare for next game of the series. In the third Dynamo scored fourth goal, after that few brawls happened on the ice. Our team collected totally 70 penalty minutes. Before the end of the game our captain Anatoly Nikontsev found a way to score our first goal of these playoffs.
