Penalties kill
Red-Whites lost in the second game of the series after too many penalties.

For the second game of the series our coaching staff made a number of changes. The main occurred after 4-game penalty of Maxim Goncharov. The new players of this playoffs were Ivan Vishnevsky, Andrei Kuteikin, Maxim Tsyplakov and Mikhail Kotlyarevsky.

The game started with powerful shot by Ansel Galimov who have been provoked by Dynamo in Russian media. Dynamo got the momentum in the second when their captain Vadim Shipachyov capitalized on the powerplay.

Spartak restored their lead in the beginning of the third when Patrik Hersley with another powerful blast made it 2-1. Spartak stayed strong and solid most part of the period. Unfortunately two penalties by Tsyplakov and Malykhin helped Dynamo to tied the game with 3:25 to play. Soon we made a mistake during shifts that led to Andre Petersson’s run – 3:2 for Dynamo with 68 seconds to play.

We pulled the goalie, missed from very promising chance and got the puck into our net. With 6 seconds left to play Robin Hanzl made it 4-3.

The series will continue on March, 6. It seemed that our team finally ready to play.
